7 planes diverted to Oman during conflict with Israel arrive in Iran

Considering the airspace unsafe, it was decided to move the planes to safer locations.

Seven Iranian passenger planes diverted to Oman during the recent tensions between Iran and Israel have returned to their homeland after 15 days. The planes were taken to Oman when Iran temporarily closed its airspace.

According to aviation sources, eight passenger planes belonging to Iran’s Meraj Air and the Iranian government were diverted to Oman International Airport on June 18 and 20. Seven of these planes flew back to Iran on the evening of Thursday, July 3.

Two of the returning planes landed at Chabahar Airport, while two other Iranian government planes landed at Mashhad and Zahedan airports. The rest of the planes also made Zahedan their destination.

According to sources, one Meraj Air plane is still at Oman Airport suffering from a technical fault. It is undergoing repairs and will soon be sent back to Iran.

This move was made when Iran considered its airspace unsafe due to tensions between Iran and Israel and decided to move the planes to safer locations. Now that the situation has returned to normal, these planes have been withdrawn.
