The 96-hour war against India was fought entirely with our own resources, without seeking any help from outside, says General Sahir Shamshad

We relied on internal capabilities, some equipment has been purchased from other countries, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has said that the 96-hour battle against India was fought entirely with our own resources, with no outside help.

In an interview given to the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee said that no help was received from anywhere during the tension with India.

He said that we relied only on Pakistan’s internal capabilities, the equipment we used is the same as that of India, we have purchased some equipment from other countries.

He said that earlier there were clashes in the disputed area, which did not reach the international border, this time there was relative calm on the borders and there was tension in the cities, in the future the conflict will not be limited to specific areas, there is no effective and systematic mechanism to resolve disputes between Pakistan and India.

The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee further said that only the DGMOs’ hotline is relied upon for emergency communications. If you are dealing with an extremist mindset, the international community has limited time to intervene. This time, the US and other countries did it. That time limit has also become very limited.
