Bloody water tanker accident in Karachi kills 2 young motorcyclists

The public held the driver responsible for the accident and tortured him, who was later taken into custody by the police.

Karachi: The series of bloody water tanker collisions in Shehr-e-Quaid is not stopping at any cost. An uncontrolled water tanker collision near North Nazimabad Board Office claimed the lives of two youths.

The accident occurred near Abdullah College, where a speeding water tanker crushed two youths riding a motorcycle, resulting in their death on the spot.

The deceased youths have been identified as 20-year-old Zubair and 18-year-old Ayan. Both were childhood friends and residents of Orangi Town, Data Nagar, while Ayan had moved to Altaf Nagar a few months ago.

According to the heirs, the two friends were returning from Hussainabad on their motorcycle after eating ice cream when a water tanker ran them over on the way.

After the incident, there was intense agitation in the area. The angry people pelted stones at the water tanker and broke its windows and lights.

The public caught the driver and tortured him, who was later taken into custody by the police, who intervened and saved the tanker from burning.

The bodies of the two youths were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by a hidden ambulance. Paposh Nagar police reached the spot, brought the situation under control and have started an investigation into the incident.

The heirs and residents of the area have demanded strict legal action against the water tanker mafia. The deceased, Ayan, was a ninth-grade student, whose sudden death has left the family in grief.
