Senator Sherry Rehman meets President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidential Palace
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians’ Senate Parliamentary Leader Senator Sherry Rehman met President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidential Palace to discuss issues related to the ongoing budget session.
Senator Sherry Rehman briefed the President on the PPP’s effective role in the budget debate and legislative process in the Senate.
She briefed the President on the diplomatic efforts made by the Coalition Joint Committee during the recent India-Pakistan crisis.
Senator Sherry Rehman informed that the committee presented Pakistan’s peace-loving and responsible strategic stance to the international community, and the committee played an important role in garnering support for Pakistan’s stance at the international level.
Sherry Rehman said that the committee and its head Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are grateful to the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan for their complete trust and support.
The President appreciated the active diplomatic efforts of the Coalition Joint Committee and praised the team’s efforts in effectively presenting Pakistan’s position at the global level.
