Two US senators, Chris Van Hollen and Elizabeth Warren, have strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and appealed to the world not to ignore the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza amid Iran-Israel tensions.
US Senator Elizabeth Warren said in her statement that the Israeli Prime Minister probably thinks that no one will see his actions in Gaza while he is bombing Iran.
She added that the people of Gaza are dying of hunger. 55,000 people have been martyred. Aid workers and doctors are being turned back from the borders. People who are starving for food are being shot at.

Senator Van Hollen also wrote on the social networking site X (formerly Twitter) that more than 400 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza in just seven days since the start of the Israel-Iran war, many of whom were shot while trying to get food.
He added that it is unacceptable that Netanyahu has not yet allowed international organizations to resume food deliveries.
