Amin Shayesta was arrested in late 2023 and accused of cyber espionage for Israel.
Iran has sentenced Mohammad Amin Shayesteh, the head of the cyber team for the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, to death.
According to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, Mohammad Amin Shayesteh was arrested in late 2023 and accused of cyber espionage for Israel.
According to the Iranian judiciary, Shayesteh tried to obtain sensitive information for Mossad, for which he was sentenced to death after a full criminal investigation and confirmation by the Supreme Court.
Iran has executed at least three people accused of spying for Mossad since the Israeli attacks on June 13. Another Mossad agent, Majid Moussibi, was sentenced to death yesterday after being arrested for trying to leak sensitive nuclear information.
Iran has previously cracked down on spies and saboteurs affiliated with Mossad, whom Iranian security agencies consider a threat to national security.
