Bird feathers found near plane’s engine
Karachi: A bird hit a foreign airline flight flying from Karachi to Istanbul.
According to details, the bird hit the taxiway while preparing for the flight, and the flight was stopped due to the bird strike.
The bird strike incident on flight TK 709 occurred this morning, engineers are inspecting the plane on the airport tarmac. Bird feathers were found near the plane’s engine.
After rain, insects become abundant at the airport and birds hovering to eat insects hit the planes.
According to airport sources, the Pakistan Airports Authority had deployed additional bird shooters in the funnel area before the rain.
The flight’s departure was rescheduled for 9 pm tonight.
