Trump calls Netanyahu a “war hero” and architect of successful US-Israeli alliance against Iran
US President Donald Trump has strongly reacted to the ongoing court cases against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying that the US may review billions of dollars in aid to Israel if these actions do not stop.
Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump called the cases “political vendetta” and a “mockery of justice”.
He said that Netanyahu is currently engaged in important negotiations with Hamas to release hostages and that it is “crazy” to pressure him to appear in court at such a time.
Trump called Netanyahu a “war hero” and the architect of the successful US-Israeli alliance against Iran. He said that dragging an important prime minister into court over trivial charges such as cigarettes or gifts is a dangerous act.

He warned that the US provides the largest financial assistance to Israel’s defense every year, and this situation is no longer tolerable.
Trump called on the Israeli judiciary to “let Netanyahu go, he’s doing a very important job.”
This is not the first time Trump has spoken out in favor of Netanyahu; two days earlier, he had called the court proceedings “political vendetta.”
