Senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have advised their party leadership to hold talks with the government.

According to the report, they suggested holding talks with the government in their open letter and made the talks with the government conditional on a meeting with the founding chairman.

The letter was written by the party’s Senior Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi, former ministers Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ijaz Chaudhry and Omar Sarfaraz Cheema.

The letter said that the only way out of the worst crisis in the country’s history is through talks, talks must be held at all levels, talks are also necessary at the political level and talks are also necessary at the level of destiny.

The letter said that the talks should be started at the political level, and the imprisoned leaders of the PTI from Lahore should be made a part of it.

It further said that access to Imran Khan should be made possible for the appointment of a negotiation committee so that the leadership can hold extensive consultations and this process of meetings will have to continue.
