Accused Asim Tahir failed to send citizens abroad and went into hiding, investigation launched
Lahore: A human trafficker who tricked citizens into sending them to Saudi Arabia for work visas has been arrested.
According to the spokesperson, the FIA Lahore Zone is continuing its crackdown against elements involved in human trafficking and visa fraud and during this, one accused has been arrested, identified as Asim Tahir.
The accused was arrested from Lahore in a raid and was found involved in extorting millions of rupees by tricking citizens into working abroad. The accused extorted Rs 1.665 million by tricking citizens into sending them to Saudi Arabia for work visas.
Accused Asim Tahir failed to send the citizens abroad and went into hiding, who has been arrested and an investigation has been initiated.
Director Lahore FIA Sarfaraz Khan Virk said in this regard that human trafficking by showing false dreams of employment is intolerable. Actions against human traffickers are being intensified. Those involved in human trafficking will be severely punished according to the law.
