All evidence regarding the rioting of opposition members has been included in the reference.
Talking to the media after meeting with Election Commission officials, the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly said that a disqualification reference has been filed against 26 members. Today, the Election Commission officials were to be consulted on some important legal issues. Those who abuse, vandalize and create chaos do not deserve any concessions. The PTI people have made a spectacle of Form 47.
Violation of the constitution will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Members who cannot abide by the constitution have no right to be part of the house. Article 63 of the Constitution of Pakistan clearly states the eligibility and ineligibility of public representatives. Upholding the constitution is the sacred duty of every member of the assembly, which he formally acknowledges while taking the oath.
This oath is more important and sacred than any constitutional clause or article. After taking the oath, every member of the assembly is subject to the constitution and bound by all laws. He further said that loyalty to the constitution is not only a moral and constitutional responsibility, but its violation automatically implements the relevant provisions of the constitution.
More important than any other clause or article is the oath that an elected representative takes when entering the assembly, it is our common responsibility to maintain the discipline, constitutional traditions, and democratic values of the assembly.
The Speaker made it clear that no such act will be tolerated in the house that is against the constitution, oath, or parliamentary traditions. Maintaining the sanctity of the house and maintaining the supremacy of the constitution is the guarantee of a democratic Pakistan. Misbehavior, abuse, and beating in the house is not democracy but hostility to democracy. Those who violate the sanctity of the house will not be forgiven, now this matter is in the court of the Election Commission, where there is a possibility of a decision of disqualification.
