86 dilapidated buildings in Rawalpindi declared dangerous, ordered to be evacuated immediately

Evacuation notices have been issued to owners of dilapidated buildings.

Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation has declared 86 dilapidated and dilapidated buildings in the city as dangerous and ordered their immediate vacating.

Notices have been issued to the owners of the dilapidated buildings.

The notice states that dilapidated buildings can cause a major tragedy due to heavy rains. Notices have been issued to the owners under the Punjab Local Government Act 2022.

The owners have been instructed to repair the building within 15 days or demolish the damaged part. In case of non-compliance, legal action will be taken against the residents.

The dilapidated buildings are located in Bhabra Bazaar, Landa Bazaar, Syed Puri Gate, Raja Bazaar, Mochi Bazaar, Dangi Khoi and other areas.
