The date of the Asia Cup 2025 match between traditional cricket rivals Pakistan and India has been announced.

According to the latest reports, the Asia Cup 2025 event will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as per its schedule. According to news agencies, the tournament will start from September 4 or 5, while a thrilling match will be held between traditional rivals India and Pakistan in Dubai on September 7.
It should be noted that this tournament will be played in the T20 format, in which the group stage will be followed by a Super Four stage. If both teams reach the Super Four stage, there will be another clash between them on September 14, while the third possible match is expected in the final on September 21.
Although India is hosting the Asia Cup, the event has been shifted to the UAE by mutual decision due to political tensions and security concerns, but India will retain the hosting rights.
An Indian broadcaster has confirmed that “the tournament will be held in September and our team will participate in it.”
According to a report by Tribune.com, the Indian representative says that no matter how tense the relations are, India has never refused to play against Pakistan in ICC events, the main reason for this is the highly lucrative media rights of these events, which are mostly held by Indian broadcasters.”
It should be remembered that the last clash between India and Pakistan took place in Dubai in the 2025 Champions Trophy. After 2008, India did not visit Pakistan for various reasons and preferred to play matches in Dubai in the 2025 Champions Trophy as well.
