Along with gold becoming more expensive, the price of silver has also increased in the country.
Karachi: Gold prices in the global and local markets increased again today, putting gold out of reach of the poor.
The price of gold per ounce in the international bullion market increased by $66, bringing the new global price to $3,348.
On the other hand, the trend of increasing gold prices in the local bullion markets continued on Tuesday, as a result of which the price of 24-carat gold per tola at the local level increased by Rs6,600 to Rs356,800.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams in the country also increased by Rs5,658 to Rs355,898.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 52 to Rs 3,834 and the price of silver per 10 grams also increased by Rs 45 to Rs 3,287.
