China is no longer years behind us in AI, David Sachs
China is only three to six months behind the US in developing AI technology.
David Sachs, a former Trump administration administrator and current White House adviser on AI and cryptocurrency, said that China is close to developing AI technology on par with US technology.
Speaking at the AWS Summit in Washington, Sachs said that the gap between the two world powers is much smaller than many people think.
He said that China is no longer years behind us in AI. They may end the race in 3 to 6 months.
David warned that over-regulating AI in the US could allow China to outpace US innovation.
David’s comments come amid growing concerns in Washington about China’s technological ambitions, especially in sensitive areas such as AI, quantum computing and military applications.
