DC’s suspension over Swat incident not enough, Gandapur should resign, Atta Tarar

Resources allocated for the welfare of the people of Pakhtunkhwa were wasted on sit-ins, press conference

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has severely criticized the provincial government over the Swat incident, saying that the resources allocated for the welfare of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were wasted on protests and sit-ins, while timely assistance was not provided during the natural disaster.

The provincial government could not rescue the stranded people despite the passage of several hours. Suspending the DC over the Swat incident is not enough, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur should have resigned.

In a press conference with Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, he said that Gandapur has established an office of Work from Adiala, did the people vote for him for this purpose? Records of corruption are being established in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, corruption worth billions of rupees, including the Kohistan scandal, has been identified.

The funds allocated for PDMA are being spent on political activities instead of public relief, tourists in Swat, including women and children, kept screaming for help but helicopters and rescue facilities were not provided.

This is not the death of tourists, but the death of the PTI system. It is the government’s job to save the people, but the Chief Minister says my job is not to provide tents.
