Karachi: Arrangements for the repatriation of 19-year-old Tunisian citizen Sanda have been completed in Karachi. According to diplomatic sources, the Tunisian Consulate has taken immediate action in the case of the young woman and has accepted full responsibility for her return.
According to police officials, Sanda was divorced by her Pakistani husband Amir a few months after their marriage, after which she faced serious difficulties.
The victim reached Liaquatabad Women Police Station yesterday and sought help, where the police immediately contacted the Tunisian Consulate.
According to SHO Women Police Station Liaquatabad Uzma Khan, a team from the Tunisian Consulate reached the police station and after meeting Sanda, decided to arrange her travel documents, exit permit and return ticket.
According to police officials, the consulate team has left for Islamabad with Sanda, from where she will soon return to her homeland, Tunisia.
