Emergency meeting of the federal cabinet to discuss Iran-Israel war, budget, and other issues

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will brief the participants on the high-level delegation’s foreign visits and global support.

Islamabad: An emergency meeting of the federal cabinet is underway under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which issues including the Iran-Israel war, the federal budget and other issues are being considered.

According to sources, the meeting will review the political, economic, and internal and regional security situation in detail. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister will brief the participants of the meeting.

The cabinet meeting will also discuss the ongoing contacts with the coalition parties for the approval of the budget for the next fiscal year and their progress. In this regard, the government’s steps to build confidence and ensure parliamentary support will be considered.

Sources say that the cabinet will be formally briefed on the security situation in the region in the meeting, in which the possible impact of recent global and regional developments on Pakistan will be highlighted.

In addition, the success and results of foreign visits by a high-level diplomatic delegation of Pakistan will also be reviewed in the meeting. The cabinet will be briefed on the diplomatic successes achieved during these visits and the possible fruits of international cooperation.
