Foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany met with Iranian counterparts in Geneva
The foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany agreed to continue talks with their Iranian counterparts after three hours of talks.
According to Reuters, the foreign ministers of the European countries made brief statements after the meeting, but it was not clear whether any concrete progress had been made in the talks.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrow expressed his expectation that Iran should talk openly with all relevant parties, including the United States, in order to find a diplomatic solution to the war situation.
He added that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had also expressed his willingness to continue talks on other issues, including the nuclear program.
German Foreign Minister Yvan Vadifoul stressed that the involvement of the United States was essential for resolving the war.
British Foreign Minister David Lamy also supported the same position, saying that Britain urges Iran to continue talks with the United States.
European foreign ministers agreed that they are ready for further talks with Iran in the coming days and consider the involvement of the United States as a necessary step.
