Field Marshal stresses need for continued ties and mutual cooperation with overseas Pakistani community

Pakistanis living in the US met with Asim Munir and exchanged their views, experiences and suggestions, ISPR

Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir has stressed the need to continue to maintain contacts with the overseas Pakistani community and further promote mutual cooperation to jointly confront the challenges facing the country.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir is in the United States on an official visit.

The ISPR said that during the visit, the Field Marshal met the overseas Pakistani community living in Washington DC, where he was warmly welcomed. A large number of Pakistanis from the community attended the meeting with the Army Chief.

According to the statement, the Pakistan Army Chief addressed the Pakistanis living in the United States and appreciated the services of the overseas community.

According to the Pakistan Army Spokesperson, the overseas Pakistanis paid great tribute to the bravery and professional performance of the Pakistan Army in the recent Operation Banyan-e-Marsoos/Maerka-e-Haq.

The ISPR said that in his address, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir described the overseas Pakistanis as the real ambassadors of Pakistan.

The Field Marshal said that Pakistanis are playing a significant role in improving the country’s economy and global reputation through remittances, investment and significant achievements in various sectors.

During the meeting, overseas Pakistanis exchanged their views, experiences and suggestions, which the Army Chief listened to with great seriousness.

The Field Marshal stressed the need to continue the ties with the overseas community and further promote mutual cooperation so that the challenges faced can be tackled together.

According to the ISPR, the meeting concluded with a new determination and spirit, with the Field Marshal and overseas Pakistanis reiterating their commitment to work together for a secure, prosperous and strong Pakistan.
