The spacecraft took these images from a distance of approximately 643 million kilometers from the Sun.
NASA and the European Space Agency’s robotic Solar Orbiter has released the first-ever image of the sun’s south pole.
The European Space Agency released the images captured by three instruments mounted on the spacecraft on Wednesday.
These images of the sun’s south pole were taken in March from a distance of about 643 million kilometers from the sun when its activity was at its peak.
However, the process of transmitting images of the north pole from the spacecraft to Earth is still underway.
It should be noted that the Solar Orbiter was launched from Florida in 2020 by the European Solar Agency and the US space agency NASA.
