Islamabad: Significant progress has been made in Pak-China industrial cooperation under SIFC, a historic 5-year technology transfer agreement was signed between two important organizations of Pakistan and China.
An agreement was signed between Pakistan Industrial Sewing Machines Importers and Dealers Association (PSMEDA) and a Chinese organization (Guangdong Shoemaking Machinery Association).
The aim of the agreement is to introduce modern machinery in the shoemaking, leather and garment sectors.
Vice Chairman (PSMEDA) Muhammad Yasin also represented Pakistan at the international exhibition “Jisma” held in China. He said that this agreement is a historic milestone that will provide immense benefits to several industries of Pakistan.
High-level meetings discussed opportunities for Pak-China cooperation and strategic development.
With the support of SIFC, signs of improvement are being seen in the Pakistani labor market through training compatible with modern technology.
