If war is imposed, US bases will be targeted, says Iranian Defense Minister

Chances of a nuclear deal with Iran are diminishing, says President Donald Trump

TEHRAN:
Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh has warned the United States in strong words that if the United States or Israel try to impose war on Iran, Iran will respond with full force, and all the enemy’s interests, military bases and installations will be targeted.

According to the Iranian state news agency, General Aziz Nasirzadeh, reacting to the recent statements of the US Defense Secretary, said that on the one hand, US officials talk about negotiations, while on the other hand, they are inciting tension in the region by making threats.

He said that US officials, especially the new Defense Minister, should carefully study the 40-year history of Iranian resistance since the Islamic Revolution.

Brigadier General Nasirzadeh made it clear that Iran will never start a war, but if war is imposed, Iran will respond with a befitting reply.

He added that Iran has recently successfully tested a new ballistic missile, which is capable of hitting a specific target at a distance of more than 1,200 kilometers with an accuracy of one meter, and does not rely on any external GPS navigation to find the target.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has said that the chances of a nuclear deal with Iran are decreasing. The sixth round of talks is expected in Muscat on Sunday, while the US has issued instructions to withdraw non-diplomatic personnel from Bahrain and Iraq.
