Indian military leadership is conflicted about the failure of Operation Sindoor

Statements by the Indian Chief of Defense Staff and Deputy Army Chief contradict each other

The Indian military leadership is in a dilemma regarding the failure of Operation Sindoor. There are also contradictions in the statements of the Indian Chief of Defence Staff and the Deputy Army Chief regarding the role of China.

The statement of the Indian Chief of Defence Staff regarding Operation Sindoor is completely contradictory to that of the Army Deputy Chief. General Chouhan, while addressing an event of the Observer Research Federation in Delhi, said that it is very difficult to explain China’s support for Pakistan.

Indian Army Deputy Chief Lt. Gen. Rahul R. Singh had said that China is giving live updates to Pakistan about Indian military deployment. The biggest lesson from the 87-hour battle is that there was a border, India had at least 3 adversaries and Pakistan was getting direct information from China.

The Indian Deputy Army Chief said that during the communication at the DGMO level, Pakistan knew which of our important vectors were ready for action. The Indian CDS said that although Pakistan has taken advantage of Chinese commercial satellites, there is no evidence of real-time targeting.

According to the Indian Chief of Defence Staff, what was available to Pakistan were commercial satellite images and not any active direct Chinese military assistance. Pakistan imports most of its weapons from China. Chinese OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) have a lot of responsibilities. So there will be people who will try to fulfill their responsibilities and they will be there.

These contradictory statements make it clear that India is trying to hide the defeat of its defeat by trying to create a false narrative.
