Iran refuses to allow visits to nuclear sites targeted by US attacks

Grossi’s visit to bombed sites is not only pointless but also potentially malicious.

Iran has strongly rejected the request of the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, in which he expressed his desire to visit Iranian nuclear facilities that were targeted by Israeli and US attacks.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that “Rafael Grossi’s visit to sites that were bombed under the pretext of security measures is not only meaningless but also potentially malicious.”

He said that “Iran reserves the right to take any action to protect its interests and sovereignty.”

It should be remembered that a few days ago, Iran was severely attacked by Israel and the US, in which several nuclear facilities were targeted.

Grossi’s demand for inspections of these facilities was made in the context of the nuclear deal, but Iran has rejected this move, calling it interference.
