Frequent arguments with umpires can be harmful, says Ravi Shastri
There was a controversy over the ball change on the third day of the ongoing Leeds Test against England, with Indian vice-captain Rishabh Pant expressing his anger at the umpire for not changing the ball.
Pant threw the ball towards the umpire and the footage of this action went viral on social media.
Jasprit Bumrah and later Shubman Gill also objected to the condition of the ball, but umpire Paul Reiffel refused to change the ball even though it had passed through the gauge.
At that time, English batsman Harry Brook was playing aggressively.
On the other hand, commentator Ravi Shastri said on this occasion that repeatedly arguing with the umpire can be harmful, and there is also a risk of action for violating the ICC code of conduct.
