The inflow of water at Chashma Barrage was recorded at 383,656 cusecs while the outflow was recorded at 362,456 cusecs, the Irrigation Department said.
Bhakkar: The highest water inflow of the flood season has been recorded at Bhakkar in the Indus River, due to which the low-level flood has reached near medium level.
According to the Irrigation Department, the water inflow at Chashma Barrage was 383,656 cusecs while the outflow was 362,456 cusecs.
According to SE Anhar Bhakkar, the super dam is being continuously monitored and staff are deployed in flood camps all the time to deal with any emergency situation.
Deputy Commissioner Bhakkar Muhammad Ashraf said that due to monsoon rains, an unusual increase in the flow of the Indus River has been seen. The district administration, rescue teams and flood control cells are on full alert, while a flood warning has also been issued.
DC Bhakkar has directed the people living in low-lying and low-lying areas to be cautious and avoid unnecessary movement.
He said that continuous monitoring of the low-lying areas of Bhakkar, Kalorkot and Darya Khan tehsils is underway and immediate steps are being taken in view of possible threats.
The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the public to cooperate with the district administration and immediately inform the relevant institutions in case of any emergency so that timely action can be taken.
