Makkah: Saudi Arabia has taken a revolutionary step in the field of health and safety during Hajj 2025 by introducing the world’s most advanced smart mobile stroke ambulance, which provides on-the-spot stroke diagnosis and initial treatment.
The Saudi Ministry of Health has introduced this mobile unit for pilgrims in Makkah. It is the first mobile stroke ambulance of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, equipped with modern technology along with a full medical team.
The ambulance includes a vascular neurologist, critical care nurse, CT scan specialist and ambulance technician. This team is capable of conducting brain examinations and immediate treatment without transferring the patient to the hospital, which increases the chances of saving the life of a stroke patient and making a full recovery.
The ambulance is equipped with CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, carotid artery imaging and other advanced diagnostic equipment, which helps in timely identification of early signs of stroke and prompt intervention.
This facility is a clear testament to Saudi Arabia’s interest in modern medical technology to ensure the safety, timely treatment and saving of lives of pilgrims during Hajj.
