Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff and the Armed Forces of Pakistan paid heartfelt tributes to Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider for his unparalleled courage, unwavering determination and great sacrifice in defending the motherland during the Kargil War.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Lalak Jan Shaheed bravely repelled the enemy’s onslaught on this day in 1999. Despite being seriously injured, he refused to leave the battlefield and fought the enemy till the last breath and attained martyrdom.
The Armed Forces and the entire nation remember his sacrifice with great respect and gratitude. The martyr’s sacrifice is a beacon of light for us and a metaphor of courage and determination for the present and future generations.
According to the Pakistan Army’s Public Relations Department, the armed forces renew their pledge that the martyrs of Pakistan will continue the sacred mission of defending the motherland with courage, duty, honor and dignity.
