PSL; PCB loses billions of rupees due to change in profit ratio

If the profit rate was to be changed, contracts with franchises had to be suspended, PCB officials said.

Islamabad: The PCB has been exposed to billions of rupees in losses due to the illegal change in the ratio of profit to total revenue by the PSL administration to the franchises.

A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) sub-committee was held.

The audit report stated that the PCB lost Rs 1.63 billion due to the change in the ratio of profit given to the franchises by the administration.

According to PCB officials, the profit rate of the franchises was increased during the Corona epidemic, but if the profit rate was to be changed, the agreements with the franchises had to be suspended.

The sub-committee directed the PCB to review the rules within 90 days.
