Indictment date set for Rauf Hassan and Ahmed Janjua in alleged explosives case
ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court, Islamabad, has accepted the PTI’s appeal against the appointment of a State Counsel in the November 26 protest case.
According to the news, the District and Sessions Court, Islamabad, has accepted the PTI’s appeal against the trial court’s decision to appoint a State Counsel in case number 976 of Ramna Police Station.
The court declared the trial court’s decision to appoint a State Counsel null and void, Additional District and Sessions Judge Amir Zia pronounced the decision on PTI’s appeal.
An appeal was filed by PTI against the appointment of a State Counsel, Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Shahzad Gondal had appointed a State Counsel in the absence of the accused’s lawyers.
On the other hand, the Anti-Terrorism Court, Islamabad, distributed copies of the challans against PTI leader Rauf Hassan and social media activist Ahmed Janjua among the accused in the case of alleged recovery of explosives.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case. The court adjourned the hearing of the case until July 28. The accused will be indicted at the next hearing. A case has been registered against the PTI leaders at the CTD police station.
