An FBR employee sustained head injuries after being hit with an iron rod during the attack, a case has been registered at Ganj Mandi police station.
Rawalpindi: FBR officials have said that during an operation against non-custom goods in Rawalpindi, the accused launched a deadly attack on the FBR team, as a result of which an FBR employee named Imran was seriously injured.
According to the report, during the attack, FBR employee Imran suffered injuries on his head due to an iron rod. A case has been registered against the accused at the Ganj Mandi police station.
A case was registered on the complaint of Assistant Director Regional Tax Office Rawalpindi Shujaat Ali. The case was registered under other sections including attempt to murder, resisting the government.
20 cartons of non-custom cigarettes were seized from the accused. The accused attacked while loading the seized goods in a government vehicle.
35 armed men attacked the FBR team. According to the text of the case, 35 armed companions of the Pathan accused also attacked. The accused forcibly took out non-custom cigarettes from the vehicle and broke the windows of the government vehicle.
The accused interfered in the government’s work, attacked government officials, incited the mob to attack, and the accused are related to Zar Gul, Khalid Shah, and Hanan Khan, etc.
