ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan has said that restoring the confidence of foreign investors is the top priority of the government. To attract sustainable investment, it is necessary for investors to feel secure in Pakistan.
While chairing the meeting of two important committees of the Prime Minister on investment return and investment protection, he said that the results of the committee meetings will be finalized and presented to the Prime Minister for further policy measures.
The aim of the meeting is to promote Pakistan’s investment-friendly agenda. Both the meetings were attended by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, State Bank of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance, Board of Investment, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, REMIT and other senior officials.
During the meeting, policy proposals to facilitate the return of foreign investment in the manufacturing sector were discussed in detail. In the meeting, members held comprehensive consultations regarding the safe return of investment and proposed several legal and policy amendments to strengthen investor protection and increase their confidence.
