Sindh government announces to present budget on June 13

The development budget of 57 provincial departments and autonomous bodies will be Rs600 billion.

Karachi: The Sindh government has announced to present the budget for the new fiscal year 2025-26 in the Sindh Assembly on June 13.

According to the details, the development budget of 57 provincial departments and autonomous bodies will be Rs 600 billion, which has been approved by the Development Committee.

The budget for the next fiscal year has been finalized in a 3-day meeting chaired by Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Nasir Shah.

Rs 13 billion has been proposed for the Agriculture Department, Rs 8 billion for School Education, Rs 4 billion for Forests, while Rs 51 billion has been proposed for the Health Department.

According to the documents, Rs 4 billion has been proposed for Industry, Rs 96 billion for Irrigation, Rs 13 billion for Local Government, and Rs 16 billion for Planning.

Rs 14 billion for the Services Department, Rs 57 billion for Transport, and Rs 1 trillion 39 billion for Works and Services.

It has been proposed to keep Rs 12 billion for the Social Protection Department, Rs 11 billion for the Home Department, Rs 9 billion for the Energy Department, and Rs 8 billion for the Finance Department.

It has been proposed to keep Rs 410 million for the Food Department, Rs 130 million for Human Rights, and Rs 270 million for the Information Department.
