Rawalpindi: The mystery of the theft of Rs 1.6 million in cash and 40 tolas of gold from a house has been solved, in which the owner of the house herself turned out to be the mastermind of the incident.
According to the police, the truth was exposed with the help of modern technology, in which surprisingly the owner of the house herself turned out to be the mastermind of the theft, who planned the incident along with her own driver.
According to the Women Race Course Police Station, the incident was committed when the other members of the house were not present. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the owner herself gave the driver a weapon and got the theft done. According to the SHO, the woman herself also provided the pistol used in the incident, which was later recovered.
The investigation also revealed that immediately after the incident, the accused met the driver at a secret place, where she took all the cash and gold and later blocked the driver’s number. According to the police, the accused confessed that in the greed for money and gold, she staged a robbery drama so that no one would suspect.
According to the police officials, taking timely action, both the accused have been arrested and some cash, gold and the pistol used in the incident have been recovered from them. A case has been registered against both of them and further investigation has been started.
SP Civil Lines said on this occasion that the protection of life and property of the public is the top priority of the police and those involved in such incidents will not be spared under any circumstances.
