US ambassador mistakenly says Israel instead of Iran
During an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, US Ambassador Dorothy Shea made a slip of the tongue, but quickly corrected it.
According to the World News Agency, the US ambassador mistakenly used the name Israel instead of Iran.
She said, “We condemn those elements in the region who are spreading terror, especially Israel, which…”
After a few moments of silence, she corrected herself and said, “I mean Iran, which is creating instability in the region.”
Israel is a country that is spreading terror in the region, but she immediately corrected herself and clarified that she was referring to Iran.
Later, in a conversation with the media, she said that it was just a slip of the tongue. The policy statement in this regard is very clear that Iran is fueling terrorism and tension in the region.
