Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elders and leaders sit with the Corps Commander, Governor and Chief Minister and give suggestions, addressing a jirga in Peshawar
Peshawar: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan has the right to every drop under the Indus Water Treaty, now we will take steps to store water in the country to counter India’s threats.
Addressing a jirga held in Peshawar, the Prime Minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the most beautiful province of Pakistan, which supported Pakistan in the 1947 referendum, the people here made immense sacrifices and I consider Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to be the land of brave and courageous people.
The Prime Minister said that the government will solve whatever problems the tribal elders and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have. The tribal elders, governor and chief minister will sit and talk with the corps commander and bring them forward immediately in the best interest and if the matter comes up in parliament, it will be taken forward with consultation.
He assured that the province will be given its legitimate right in the matter of NFC and its aim is to benefit the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that the war with India included the prayers of the people of other provinces, while KP also had prayers. Our brothers and sisters prostrated and prayed during Tahajjud. The prayers offered in the prayers reached Allah Almighty by tearing the sky.
The Prime Minister said that the enemy ambushed and attacked at six and seven, the Field Marshal woke me up at two and a half and informed me of the attack. After that, the lesson taught to India under the leadership of the Field Marshal cannot be forgotten until the Day of Judgment.
Shahbaz Sharif said that like the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the officers, soldiers and children of the Pakistani army made immense sacrifices. Our soldiers were seen in the front line at every opportunity, including terrorism. When the homeland called, our stylish soldiers came to bid farewell to their children.
He said that the way Allah gave honor in the war, Pakistan will emerge as a great nation, the joy seen in the recent four countries was noticeable.
The Prime Minister said that after the APS, we decided to take decisive action, now we have to take big and tough decisions for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. He said that after India’s defeat, the Modi government is licking its wounds.
Shehbaz Sharif said that India threatens us day and night about the Indus Water Treaty, but now we have to make a plan of action to respond to these threats and in this regard, the four provinces will soon be called on the water issue so that we can increase water storage and extraction and destroy Indian arrogance.
He said that we can store water in the Diamer, Bhasha and Dasu dams.
