US sells dangerous bomb kits worth $510 million to Israel

The US State Department has approved the sale and the matter has now been sent to Congress, which will give final approval.

The United States has approved the sale of $510 million ($510 million) worth of bomb guidance kits and other related equipment to Israel following recent tensions with Iran.

According to the US Department of Defense’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), “This potential sale will improve Israel’s ability to respond to current and future threats, and strengthen the defense of its border areas, critical infrastructure, and civilian centers.”

The statement added that “the United States is committed to Israel’s security, and it is also important to the US national interest to provide Israel with a powerful and ready defense system.”

The US State Department has approved the sale and the matter has now been sent to Congress, which will give final approval.

It should be recalled that on June 13, Israel carried out a major air strike targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, scientists, and senior military officials. Israel claims that the operation was carried out to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program, while Tehran maintains that its program is for peaceful purposes only.

According to the report, US President Donald Trump initially made diplomatic efforts with Iran for a new agreement, but ultimately ordered attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.

A ceasefire has recently been declared, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that he will not allow Iran to build nuclear facilities again, which has raised the risk of another conflict in the future.
