War or peace in the Middle East? France, Germany and Britain warn Iran

European leaders said they were ready to cooperate with all relevant parties to this end.

France, Germany and the UK have urged Iran in a joint statement after the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities to avoid further destabilizing the Middle East and to immediately pursue negotiations.

According to the US TV channel ‘CNN’, the statement issued by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made it clear that their common goal is to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and to maintain peace in the region.

The statement said that Iran should join negotiations that pave the way for a transparent agreement on all aspects of its nuclear program. European leaders said that they are ready to cooperate with all relevant parties to this end.

European countries expressed concern over the tensions in the region after the US attacks and said that they would continue to try to prevent the conflict from escalating further through diplomatic means.
